  • Untamed New England
  • September 2009 to August 2010. Colin is working with Untamed Adventure as sponsorship sales manager for Untamed New England. He creates the sponsorship materials, researches possible partners, and initiates the pitch. He also manages a partnership with WMUR TV to create a 1 hour program and lead up internet media.
    Untamed New England is a 72 hour adventure race combining trekking, mountain biking, navigation, paddling, and other challenges. It is the North American qualifier for the ARWC (Adventure Racing World Championship).

  • Adventure Racing

  • Last October, Colin competed in The Edge put on by GOALS ARA in Downington PA. Success in this (his first) short 6 hour 'sprint' adventure race has pushed Colin to set his sights on GMARA's Bitter Pill. Training primarily involves hours spent on a montain bike to overcome having only ever used one in his previous race.

  • World Leisure United Nations

  • WLUN is a branch of the World Leisure Organization working on assembling a representative body made up of an individual from every member state of the United Nations. Through leisure and sport, WLUN works toward the goal of global civil society. Colin acts as director of communications for this endeavor.

  • Yoga Ball Soccer

  • YBS is the sport that will achieve what ultimate frisbee was intended for. It is a team sport that marginalizes elite athletic ability and focuses on collaborative fun and inclusiveness. Two different size yoga balls, no use of hands, and a field are the only requirements. Colin is an officially recognized freelance commissioner of this up-and-coming sporting culture phenomenon. He is also responsible for inventing the ‘chinese checkers’ and ‘dueling mole’ variants of play.
